If I can only pick one or the other, I suppose I would say old school. There's a reason I keep going back to so many of these games, even 20 years later. Whereas "new school" games, as you put it, lack staying power or memorability. They're easily forgotten.

That's tough, because I love both. But I guess I gotta say old school, because without them we wouldn't have what we have today. Plus I enjoy how much more challenging games used to be. Now days, almost every game holds your hand to the end. Also I gotta say I'm a big fighting game fan. I grew up with classics like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I'm just amazed by how well Street Fighter 2 has aged, HD Remix is well worth the $15 or microsoft points for anyone that's been on the fence.

Old School, they're the foundation of gaming.

Old school by far. More basic and genuine game-play. Thank goodness for emulators!! It would be terrible to lose the classic games we grew up on.

Old school - go pixels! Old school RPGs are more fun and nostalgic.

Well , it really doesn't matter to me, as long as I enjoy playing, I'm good to go with it.

Old school because there is something in there that new school lacks
