the Wiimote does have crappy sound, but the only audio that matters is what comes through the red and white wires, as long as those sound good, it's fine, the Wiimote's speaker could use some improvement, but there is more things Nintendo needs to work on for the Wii, I think the Wiimote speaker is last on their list of things to get done, until then, just turn down the volume

I think the sound is okay though. I don't pay much attention to it, but when i do it's pretty good. For example, in Zelda when you slash you can hear the *ting sound right next to you, which is pretty awesome. But i guess thats just me, never really did care that much about the quality of sound, just liked hearing it.

I dunno, it sounds ok to me, but thats probably because not enough games use that function yet. Im sure they'll improve the quality of their hardware as time comes, just like they did with the GameBoy Advanced ---> GameBoy Advanced SP ---> GameBoy Advanced Mini -_- but if they dont, they suck

I think that the sound is fine, you just can't have the volume on the remote on the highest setting. They are kinda like headphones, the louder you put them, the less audio quality you'll get. And besides, the speaker will probably get better as soon as the technology gets better and cheaper.

the quality of the sound is pretty good for a remote...if you want good sound hold your speakers not the controller... ^_^

It's because of the cheap speaker used in the Wii, man, my old phone had a better speaker, small sacrifices for a cheap console.Laterz.

It is not cheap you probably played a cheap game.

For such a small speaker crammed (probably) tightly in a motion sensing remote, I don't think it'd sound very nice eitherBut, it doesn't bother me, I think it's an amazing effect when you're playing RE4 on the wii, and you actually hear the reload through your remote and your TV at the same time; brings an interesting feel to gaming

Thing is, a better speaker could've made the wii-mote cost 50 cents more ..Personally I think they should have made sure it was at least decent :-\

The sound quality of it seriously sucks. It's staticky and scratchy and just plain annoying. I always use a gamecube controller on compatable games to avoid that irritating sounds

The sound does sound bad but not enough to make the Wii bad.

I think the sound that comes out of the remote is OK. I mean, yes, it could be better but it isn't a major feature anyway, so it doesn't matter.
