It all depends on the goal the programmers set out to achieve. Shadow of the Collosus would have been a nightmare with nes graphics.

yep gaphics are just good for eye candy... a good game is based on gameplay and replay value anyway (at least for me)i'd rather watch a movie rather than buy a game for its graphics. But i wouldn't mind good graphics on a great game i had a bad experience that when i bought Brutal Paws of Fury for the SNES way way back.. I just bought the game because i liked the graphics... when i got home and played it, the movesets were killing me in general graphics boost the interest in the game, but gameplay > graphics.

A game should have good graphics to show what the character's body language tells us, if that makes any sense.

No way, I still play games like Pac-Man or Prince of persia, even if the graphics sucks, Graphics are the lest important thing on a game, the fact is fun

Not really, because when i was a little boy, i used to play those NES/Dendy games. When i got my computer, it was just great, to play games with good grapchics (i got it in 2003). But now i'm tired of those strategies and action games with perfect grapchics, so i decided to play old games a bit. And so I started to play GBA and I didn't care about graphics at all

so you say that the old mario, zelda, pacman, and tetris sucks. and you through your NES in the trashIf the game don't have good graphic i put it away in a special bin were it will remain 4 about hmm ever. (note the bin is called the garbage)

Graphics are important, but a GBA cant generate the same sort of graphics as an XBOX, PS2 or GC etc. But, god gave us imagination for a reason.

Not really. If they put a game where you had like a world or something in chose how to expand it or something and it was all words I wouldn't care. I'd call it fun and play it tons.

When i read the question the first thing that comes to mind is definitely Game play.But now that i think more about it, i don't think i would play a really good game if the graphics sucked. I'm not saying they have to be great but they should at least be acceptable, i mean come on, once you are used to a good combination of graphics and game play anything lesser seems like CRAP.

GBA 's graphic is not so good but it is ok with me! I think only pc games need a perfect graphic!
