For PS1 fighting games I would say - Tekken 3 , Soul Blade , Street Fighter Alpha 3 , Fatal Fury , Guilty Gears , Mortal Kombat Trilogy , Samurai Showdown series , and Rival School.

Tekken I, because it's just so classic and never loses the charm (I still haven't passed the level 9 -.-"). Tekken III is good too.

I'm not a big fighting game fan but I always liked Street Fighter...I loved T-Hawk since he was so cheap and I could use his hawk-dive move over and move to win. I always hated doing tons of combos...combos are for losers. Punching and kicking rules all.Stevo

my favorite is the first guilty gear fighting game on the PS.it was groundbreaking for me on the 2d fighting game level.plus the characters were based from rock stars [headbangs]

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 havent tried it but looks great. Other games that are crosovers like Fighting evolution and Capcom Vs Snk 2.
