I rather enjoy a good game of Magic the Gathering, but so few people still play that anymore. That and many of the cards released these days really ruin the fun of the game.

I'm keen on two types of card games : casino games (blackjack & poker) and TCG. My favourite TCG are L5R (Legend of the Five Rings), Magic the gathering and Yugioh, even if I also play to Naruto and other TCG. But the current marketing strategy of most TCG is so bad that it affects the basical enjoy of these games.

I love to play 13, similar to Big 2. Back in high school, I used to play it with my friends everyday in class. Sometimes I even played with the teacher. I also like Hearts

I really enjoy playing Rummy with my friends. Theres another game we play called Mao. Basically, the dealer makes up a rule, doesn't tell anyone and you each get dealt 5 cards. You can play one card a turn, and if you break the rule, you pick the card you played up, and also the top card of the deck. Keep going until someone has no cards in hand. That guy wins. Dealer becomes the person on the right, and he makes up a new rule, on top of the one the first guy made. Repeat until two rules contradict each other. Great fun.

I'm going to reply to this like it was asking what my favorite playing card game is. In that case, I'm currently going through a rotation of four. I have tons of study halls in high school, so I get in a solid 2 hours of card-playing every day, which gives me plenty of time to experiment with new games and get really good at old ones. The main game lately has been Setback, or as some like to call it, Pitch. I love everything about this game. I'm also a big fan of the fact that the intellectually inferior cannot play it because it requires too much strategy and thinking. I just despise games that depend on your reflexes or are so basic as to make matches. My games need more substance that require skill to win, not luck. Similar to the whole bidding system, I've been playing Spades and Nap recently. Both can be tough to learn and get the hang of, but can be great fun with 3 other people.Hearts is also the classic standby. You just can't go wrong with Hearts. As for strategy games I hate, my number one most hated game is President. I hate everything about it. It's stupid because once the first game has been played out, there's a high chance, the ranking won't change for the rest of the game. It's pointless because if you get screwed over in the first hand, you have no chance to come back and it ends up incredibly frustrating. I do like the one rule called "Fall From Grace." That means if you're the president and don't stay President, you automatically go down to last place. It's a good way of balancing it out a bit. Still a horribly stacked game that's only fun for the lucky people who win the first hand.

I am a big fan of Black Jack because I can win money from it. I also like Kings, which is a drinking game, but also pretty fun to play using cards.
