Tells me if i've been lazy on a game or not. It somehow forces me to finish games with easy achivements.

Honestly, it means very little to me. I dont always play games to beat them or go out of my way to get gamerpoints. I'd rather have fun, and if I get the acheivements while enjoying myself, then that always makes me feel good about myself.

Meh, if it wasn't there, I really wouldn't care. I only try to get the achievements so I can "beat every part of the game." Just like I've always done with games. But the actual number, doesn't mean anything in terms of how good you are at video games. Some games you get achievements for putting the disc in the drive. I've played people with over 80,000 GS, and completely owned them at GoW online.

Gamerscores are a way to show your dedication to getting 100% out of every game, besides Zomibe Genocider was just fun >< and the reward? Weapon of mass destruction... I just wish your gamerscore had more of a purpose outside of showing off.

I remember when i 1st got my box.. me and all my coworkers thought that the gamerscore contributed to M$ points so we could buy stuff... now it jus gives me a visual sense of accomplishment

Its pretty much just for showing off. Mines a little over 4000 only cause I completed every quest in Oblivion and Dynasty Warriors, but other than showing off, it really dosnt mean much.

I like it because it keeps me playing games after I would have normally stopped playing, like after I beat them

To me, it just shows that if it's above 10k then you play games too much.

I find the gamerscore pretty important, but not EVERYTHING. People can pwn me with little to no gamerscore.

I never care about my gamerscore. It's just a way Microsoft gets people to buy more games.

Well when I had gamefly I was a gamerscore nut job, but when that phase ended, I just started playing games for the fun of it. Sure there are some games that I'll play for GSPs and some I'll play for the hell of it. But GSPs don't mean much to me.

The game score to me is a fashionable way to show off how good you are at the game.

it doesnt mean much to me, its just nice to have a gamerscore thats up there in the 10 or 100 thousands. mine is only 7000ish right now but i enjoy getting that little bleep that comes with a completely random achievement like walking 200 miles in a game or doing something outrageous that you thought only you could think of.

My points signify that I am a better player than another person. For example, its fun to see your friends struggle to catch up with you when you know they cant. My gamerscare is up in the 7000's. But it also gives you a challenge to see that if another person is higher than you, you must catch up to them. Its basically a cycle.
