eyes get tired, and then depending on position, you arm and neck gets tired

actually i have a slight cramp in my right palm as i type right now :si think it's from major stylus involved games where i rest the corner of the DS in my palm for a long time and move my fingers around too much

I've had pain in various places in the body while playing but they're usually because of some obvious reason. I've had pain in my arms from holding the DS up for too long (so I wouldn't have to bend my neck... for 1+ hours straight), my neck (obviously from bending my neck too long), my eyes (poor lighting/not spending enough time outside in natural sunlight/staring too long), my back (bad posture) and my fingers (one handed holding the -original- DS for 30+ minutes while tapping on the screen with the stylus).

Well, the other gameboys didnt give me much of the pain in the arm or anything.The DS is different because it basically has more movement necessary due to additional buttons, and stylus that pains ur arm.Eye pain settles in probably because of ur eye's constant movement between screens.I personally did not experience Eye pain but my arms Do.

My arms start hurting from all the repeated motion of my thumb. My eyes never really hurt from the ds though.

My fingers, thumb specifically starts hurting after I've been playing MKDS for a while, cause I snake a lot and it hurts my thumb.

The obvious solution to this is to wear an eye patch while you play. Or perhaps you were right when you stopped playing to let your eye rest, since it says to do so in the instruction manual.I've just been playing Puzzle Quest for a while and now I had to stop cause my right eye hurts...
Yes, I'm kinda weird, for some reason one of my eyes starts hurting pretty early and the other one never hurts... Maybe I should have them checked by someone but not right now... Anyway, I wanted to find out if you every played long enough for something to hurt... and if so, where does it hurt? Personally I quite often have to stop after an hour or to due to my eyes hurting but i also played till my thumbs hurt... (but not in PQ cause thats a stylus game

I have the DS Phat, so my stylus is really small and pointy near the top, so when I play Metroid, I tend to clench my stylus hand, and it leaves the imprint of the stylus's top on my finger. Makes it really red.

Yup, i've had the same problem as you, you should buy a Carry Case for your DS, and buy a DSlite Styus. If you put it in the carry case you won't lose it. The only thing that bothers me is if I play in a dark room with the backlight on and then go to sleep, I see lighting behind my eyes. it's not healthy, i know

i once played my ds so long i got bloodshot eyes and i used almost a whole bottle of visine, ok i exxagurated it was only about half, i was ok afterwards but i still play the ds until the battery dies.

well. I used to play pokemon diamond every night from 10:00 - 1:00. I had to stop because it was killing my eyes lol.

I get cramped in the palm of my hands at the base of the thumb joints. I have to remind myself to relax at certain points.
