Well, I tend to catch the rare pokemon with Ultra Balls because I like the fight; I usually use the Master Ball on things like Latios and Entei, the ones that run away as soon as you see them. Somehow I managed to catch Rayquaza in Emerald with a Pokeball at full health, he was sleeping.

i use my master ball on the hardest pokemon to catch in the game.

in older versions blue and red.. i used my masterballS in all of the pokemon cathcable in the version...in the GBA versions i used it on rayquaza and mewtwo

If you play Pokemon Colosseum before, I use the master ball, got from Action Replay, to catch any Shadow Pokemon I cannot catch at the first time after I beating the game on 2005.

I found that most of the time, with a little persistance, you could catch most of the rare monsters that don't run away with ultra balls. However, I found i used the master ball more on the ones that would run away like the dogs or the two birds, sorry i forget the names.

I would definetely use it on latiosor latias..reason being:You can save before u battle rayquaza or groudon since you know it's right ahead of you.Lati@s is a random occurence, and you can't risk not catching it

mewtwo, latios (tho actually probably better to use master on dog in fire red leafgreen) it depends on whether u want to have thj hassle of Mean Look/ ultra ball barrage + falseswipe +thunder wave for the latis when u choose on ruby saff emerald

blue/red/yellow: mewtwogold/silver/crystal: any legandaryruby/sapphire/emerld: Raquaza (I caught latas/latios with an ultra ball and it wasn't easy I was hunting it down with my pokedex)

I used it on Rayzuasa(bad spelling) because its a level 70 pokemon. Latios or Latias are level 45 i think which you can use a ultra ball along with a good strategy. (Ruby and Saphire)Mewtwo, Ho-oh, Lugia from previous games also.

R/B/Y- zapdos (mewtwo can be cough but zapdos was always imposable for me silver- first dog unless i needed a bird bandly to help with weaknessesruby- i have 6 pokemon level 95 and up and i have my raquaza but i do not know who i am going to catch with my master ball yet

in pokemon red,green, and blue i use my master ball in Lugia.In Ruby and Sapphire i use my master ball in Latios.In Esmerald i use my master ball on Regi Ice.And in Diamond......i still dont have it lol..
