Mine is the black and think one also. I prefer the thick one because of the sliding rom

i got the black thin one and was seriously ummm MAD (for use of Better words) that you cant turn it off without unplugging it. Sleep mode is the best solution but it doesn't fix it, because as everyone but nuubs know, sleep mode still runs the ps2 pretty hard. Plus from all the plugging and unplugging my powercord wont hardly stay in the slot. i have to position it just right and not touch it or jerk a cord even a little bit or it kills itself......
