Dragon Ball Z. When I was growing up my friends and I thought it was the best thing since saturday morning cartoons.

If you don't count Astro Boy as a kid, I saw Akira on the shelf at the movie store a loong time ago, and decided to get it because it was a post-apocalyptic cartoon, and it was 'NR' for violence, etc. so i rented it. VHS subtitled and widescreen. it was the most amazing thing I had experienced, and I haven't stopped watching anime since. I just avoid all the girly/childish anime like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon (even though it's lsd-inspired) and Yu Gi Oh.

I have forgotten which one is my first already,but i remember i watched the cardcapter sakura and ranma 1/2 and dragon ball when before my 12,until recently i was REATTACH to those new animes,like Bleach and naruto and one piece and others.........

I try to not go out can count Pokemon and DBZ as my first animes, because they were all americanized. Looking back, my first anime I count is the one that made me an otaku, Fullmetal Alchemist.

I can't remember quite that far back but I am pretty sure I started paying the most attention to Pokemon.
