I can't, SONY is a lame company who doesn't care about the enviroment or the money of players, I prefer to call SONY Krusty-co. If you like to have the other features i suggest you to buy a Laptop, it's more functional, also you can have emulators and play the "remakes" of PSP's games in their original versions... don't dissmiss your money, save it and don't buy this junkie console

He didn't ask for opinions, he ask what other reasons are there to by a PSP, but when it comes down to it, it is his own money and his choice

Yes, it was personal, but what about this:"If you like to have the other features i suggest you to buy a Laptop, it's more functional, also you can have emulators and play the "remakes" of PSP's games in their original versions"it was the central idea of the post, the other things was just Flavor Text

do u want to be cool? do u want to get all the hot chicks(or guys...)? Then get a psp! Its like a sexytime explosion... in ur pants(preferably ur pocket)! If u want a great portable system with great games and a multitude of functions and if u like FUN then get a psp....Note: it may cause seizures in small children and brain tumors. also carpel tunnel syndrome is a common occurrence. Do not use with alcohol or flammable liquids as u might die. sony and its partners are not responsible for any injuries that occured while playing. Dark_Alex roxs my sox! I am George Bush and i approve this message!

decar, with the right firmware a psp goes from good to godly! Ur friend obviously did not have CF(or if by corpse u mean its bricked...then hahaha! i cant believe he bricked it!). U can do so much! Read books, stream videos and music from ur pc, listen to radio, play almost all older systems (even N64). also u can customize every aspect of it(software wise...well u can customize the outside, but its difficult and painful). Once i hacked my psp i havent been able to set it down. it has become like an appendage. A part that i cannot do without (the 1st step is admitting u have i problem right?)

You should buy a PSP because:1. with homebrew you can run emulators (hence almost completely removing the need for a GBA,Snes,Genesis,Neo-geo,NES,PSOne etc etc)2. Eventually Sony will release their GPS attachment to the rest of the world.3. Its got great games, contrary to all the nay-sayers... and its really starting to come out with quality games.4. Media wise (Mp3, videos) , it Pwns the DS... hands down.

Thats not a really good argument since DS Roms can be downloaded for free as well... (from this site!!) Like I said earlier, it really depends on which type of gamer you are. If you are casual, then you've got a higher probability that you would like the DS, if you're hardcore, the inverse applies.

Reasons to buy:1. Able to play videos music and games.2. Online capablities (Internet browsers, Multi-player, download-able updates and games)3. Good games a. Syphon Filter b. GTAs c. Untold legends d. Ridge Racer e. Metal Gear Portable Ops. f. Medal of Honor Heros g. Loco Roco4. Camera attachment going to become available 5. GPS AttachmentReasons not to buy:1. Very fragile (Both the System and UMDs) a. Once Disk is broken, only can buy a new one (Always have to put that insurance fro Gamestop on it.) b. Scratches on the screen are very annoying.2. You can buy the UMD Videos on DVDs and they have more features.3. Internet Browsers slow as hell.4. Some times wacky control Scheme.5. FPS suck. (Haven't tried out Call Of Duty.)I myself own a PSP and love it. I am willing to take the good and the bad, because the good outweighs the bad any day.I am also planning on buying a DS. So do not badger me that I am a PSP lover and DS hater, I am not.I hope this helps.

i would have to agree with most of the posts here. without homebrew, the psp is really not worth my time. however, with a custom firmware, the psp really does have all the other consoles. homebrew is, simply put, the ****. i'm holding off until uclinux for the psp is a bit more developed and with real userland tools, but when that time comes it will really be the coolest little gadget in the world. think - all the benefits of a modern operating system, with wireless, infrared, a large beautiful screen, and diverse input (uclinux can accept an infrared keyboard, too!)gah, this turned into a disorganized mess, but i think i'll just end with i freaking love my psp.
