If you like the other playstation consoles, then I say yes. Although, the PS3 is out, but I would wait for that one. 600 bucks for something you can't even warranty yet! 
I am currently enjoying my PSP, but at the same time am enjoying my PS2. If you want to play decent PS games anywhere, get a PSP. If you are normally sitting around at home not doing much outside, stay with your PS2 (if you have one. (I hope you do!)) There are alot of games for both, and not much for a PS3. So all in all, go with what you want, PSP has other features as well. If you get version 3.30, you'll be able to have a camera in your PSP! (alrite, it won't build itself a camera. don't get over excited. You'll figure it out yourself.)

First, I believe that Sony doesn't neglect quality. It's just the overall easiness of making "CD" Disc games that makes other companies mass produce their own games. Sometimes it's crap, but it's not Sony's fault for making the games. The PSP is a new generation to handheld gaming. Internet, Photoes, Music, Memory expandability as well as loads of free demos you can download from the console itself right off the internet. The PSP can also hook up with other PSP's via Router or just direct connections ---> this can lead to like massive multiplayer unlike the normal 2 controller slot PlayStations.

agreed. PSP have so much uses now, we cant really call it a game handheld console. in my honest opinion it is a very nice multipurpose gadget. Sony have always thought out thoroughly what they release yea? so if you like music, a photo storage junkie, a video fanatic or just a good plain gamer on the go, the PSP is the best way to go.

I have a psp and a DS and they are both fantastic consoles. the psp is geared towards people who like more mature games. and the ds is geared towards people who have never played a game before.either one will suite different moods. i didnt really like either one by itself. but together im always entertained in my free time.

u should get a psp because u can get emulators ... which basically means that u can get games from other systems and play em on ur psp.... Currently there are GBA, N64, NES and many emulators for old systems... no because most game that are on other platform and psp have better gameplay on the other system. to me psp is only good for sport games like nba live 06 07 08

phones are the future, they are computers, internet, music, camera, and last but not least they are phones, some use phones for bad things in movies like setting off bombs such as in the movie vantage point with Dennis Quaid.

yes buy it is psp and not Nintendo ds because ds is boreing and all the games are for litle kids besides you can play ds games on your psp if its haked
