It seems to me that all great games are Japanese. I know what with the systenm being Japanese and Japan practically making all of the world's anime it's obvious but if you think differently let me know. All the great series-Pokemon-Rockman/Megaman-New super Mario Bros.-Digimon World DS-Are Japanese.

Missing out on a veritable shitton of series there buddy. Also its not the region but the group developing that determines if a game will be good or bad. Look at Sonic Team, they used to be great but everything lately has been horrible.Alternatively look at Naughty dog, Crash games were just average, but the Jak and Daxter series is great. Same with Insomniac and Spyro/ratchet and clank. Also anime has nothing to do with games, especially when you consider most games based on anime are horrible.

I think most games derived from anime are either passable or great. And sorry if this topic is useless, I just wanted some opinions.

Hehe, I agree with you :)I get to play Japanese games without any problems because I grew up in Japan. Japanese is actually my first language.I'm always impressed by the community of people independently working through Japanese games/anime... that takes a lot of work if it's not your native language. I think existence of these communities are proof on it's own that Japanese produce good games/anime.

Most of the games I've played are Japanese-developed, but many American games stand out too... Rogue Squadron is a fine example.

Well nintendo is a japanese company so it would be sensible that good games released in Japan would be liscensed by Nintendo and thus distributed worldwide by Nintendo. Plus, since so many games are produced by japan, probability says there's gotta be a bunch of good games in that massive production.

The creativeness of the Japanese...It's only fitting that the worst TV shows as well as the best come from Japan if most of them are Japanese.I think both the best and worst shows come from Japan, butthe MAJORITY of great games come from Japan.

NO WAY, DUDE!!! Come on, now... There are plenty of great games that aren't from Japan. Take Tony Hawk, for instance. Tony Hawk has ROCKED the gaming world since around grade school or jr. high...

i do think that japan has all the better gmes and good games and they get them first but if you think about it, it is a good thing for us because they can fix all the bugs and glitches the gamers in Japan faced but for those exclusive jap games like KHFM you just have to import a game system and the game but still, you might not understand what they are saying

Japan produces a lot of games for the Nintendo company. Most of the other's I consider "3rd party companies" don't dish out games as well as the Japanese ones. Besides, I've rarely played a game [for the DS] that wasn't created in Japan.

I'd say that Japanese gaming markets are best at RPG games, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, among others....but that's about it. The U.S. markets have had alot of popular and not-so-popular arcade/consolegames that are instant classics and have great replay value. Take games from Midway for example (hello, Mortal Kombat...that's U.S. right?) or Sonic Team/Sega of America.

"All"? No. "Most"? Yes. There are A+ American and European developers as well; Ubisoft, iD Software, Epic Games, Midway, etc. Just step back from the console and handheld market and take a look at the PC market. Japanese PC games are an absolute joke.Oh and the Halo series isn't from Japan.

Uhh.. good point. Japanese can't beat the U.S in arcades or non-anime TV. When's the last time America made an anime game independently? Avatar the last airbender? That's a sorry excuse for an anime. And I usually play RPGs, thats wut i mant

Why do most good games come from japan? Well because msot good anything (as far as fiction goes) comes from japan. Why else would americans crave anime so badly? Our own stuff is weaksauce in comparison.
