A lot of people prefer Japanese games because they have a broader selection of and generally their games are a lot more colourful.Also, a lot of DS games released in the West are Japanese games, but a year late.
Is it just me or... are all good games from Japan?

yes totally!!japan has the best games!and it's kind of sad how slow the games are released in other countries if you know what i mean...

well..its proven that the majority of average japanese students know more then us americans..its because of government really..there kids are pushed way harder in school..therefore..they grow up smart and make awesome games. lol

Most gaming companies are based in Japan: Nintendo and Sony, plus a lot of the developers to the games for their consoles. A good example of a US-based company with good games is Microsoft: Halo 1 and 2, Gears of War 1 and 2. So most games are probably made in Japan, which is why most good games come from Japan.

I think that the American Games aren't creative, It's all the same stuff you get on an average PC game. Japanese games are more creative and uses the speciality of the DS console very well.

i like the games with manga in it. like bleach beet etc. but they are all japanees :'( .

its ok to come from the japan but the english version shd always be released in the same time as the release of the japanese version

Japanese games are good and I'm sure the ones in the Japanese language is way better. I hope to learn Japanese to understand and play those games.

i was just wondering getting a ds, but can a ds of any country code run games that are outside their region? (sorry for the noob Q... ><)i'd might get a psp depending on the answer...coz i'd like to practice japanese on the ds [with games]

Probably because most games are either made in japan or originated in japan. Is it just me or did Nintendo come from Japan?

Yes they do some games have more features and bonus options in Japanese games, i forgot some of them but i know that some games r never released in the USA or Europe like the Final Fantasy series there is a video about it somewhere on youtube.

Japan RPGs ROCK! On most of the consoles, when there is a J RPG release, there is a lot of people complaining cause in Eu and US we don't get that good RPGs...What i also like is that RPGs from Japan, most of the times, if not every time, have amazing music - from FF to any-j-rpg-you-can-think-of...It's probably because Nintendo is from japan. And the japanees do love RPG as much as I:D

all good things definatly come from japan and china. idk they are just real smart so naturally they make crazy awsome super sweet games that are unmatched by any other country

i think so. In fact, most good games are from the Big N. The only good developer I can think of is Ubisoft. They make the rayman game, which is quite fun.
