If anything, I underestimated how good the game was going to be. Easily one of - if not THE - best GameCube games.

heck no re4 is not overated. It's a great game. If you take your time to find the treasures, admire the graphics, and sound design, also look at all the work that was put in the game, it's all taht it's hyped to be.

Its not exactly overrated. But i still prefer the older Resident Evil games over this one. This story just isnt like the others.But, from the game just by itself, it is really good, and not to overrated.

Yes resident evil 2 was better, 4 wasn't bad though(I like the REmake better than it though)

Resident Evil 2 was a better "RE" game than 4...but 4 is still the best in terms of being an action game. The others just had terrible controls, but they still had more of a creepy atmosphere. But no, RE4 isn't overrated...it really is fantastic.

Usually most games that people say are so great or the best ever or blah blah are indeed overrated.But not RE4. It deserves it for being a million times better than all of the old RE games (combined!).

Resident Evil 4 is the best game this generation for sure. It is not overrated it deserves all the praise it is getting.

Very and for one reason.. it is to damn simple. After beating it on normal and professional I had to challenge myself by limiting myself to knife, TMP, and Punisher only. I even did that with various other combinations. Though that was challenging, I managed to knife the whole village to death. From then on out it was simple. Is till play it because it is fun, it just is not as fun as people make it out to be.

It's a top 3 gamecube game, and i've played it more than any game in like the past 3 years. I already beat it four times and i'm still playing it

NO. The game actually manages to create a right blend of action and horror and turn it into something completely new. It has revived a genre which was getting stale very fast.

Okay you have to look at it on the system your talking about. How many M-rated great adventure games are on the cube?...the fact that RE4 is a great third party published game, on a system thats overlooked by many third parties, gives it reason to boast about.

Well its definatly the best re for gameplay, but over rated, No, the story could have been a bit longer, and BETTER, but it was realy well doe, 8.9/10
