Just wondering if there is a better gba emulator than VisualBoy Advance

I've tried two different emulators besides VBA, and I really think VBA is the best. if you're having trouble with yours, look for VisualBoy Advance Collector's Edition. it's a bit updated, a few nicer features. it's only for Windows though, so if you have any other OS, I doubt you'll find a CE version for that one.

I use VBA and have No$GBA as a backup. No$GBA is quite an improvement over the gb version.

VBA is the best i.m.o. but this emulator i tried called 'TGB-Dual' is pretty good too. it has built-in cheat devices and customizable controls and runs smooth
