The difference is that vba link supports lan- or local multiplayer (it basically adds a "link-cable" option) whilst the original VBA doesn't. I say original, because the original project stopped and the people who took it up included this function in the VBA-M (if i'd remember correctly).Now on-topic: having said the above, and due to obvious reasons, like most people, mines would be the VBA(-M) or VBA-link, but since the latter doesn't display correctly on (my) w7 64bit. The alternative would be no$gba, which was only better due to it's (practically) perfect multiplayer support, if it weren't for the graphicsWhat's the difference between VBA and VBA link?(Sorry I'm new at this)

Boycott Advance may be somewhat good, but it is not nearly as reliable as VBA.
VBA is the best choice
It actually kind of depends on the game, now that I think about it. For instance, Gunstar Superheroes only works on VBA, but the quality is not that good.
