who wouldn't, there are many different games in the DS, I think it would stop if they started stopping the production of new games..

Me too. If someone screams at me, I just get ticked off, start playing on my DS, then I just feel happy.

Not really. I spend a lot of time playing it and then I feel really guilty for wasting so much time.

Sometimes but not all the time, the main purpose for my DS is to get me out of boredom.

There was a time that our relationship used to be like that, but now we've both gotten older. I no longer get excited by just seeing it, not even holding it. We've grown apart. Here's the icing on the cake, I'm seeing a younger PSP behind it's back.

most of the time, it does help me feel better but when things are really down in the dumps for me, doesnt really help in alleviating me from my bad moods.

YES! I find that most of the DS games I play are quick and fun to play, so when I'm in a "gamer funk" from some 100+ hour console RPG, I can relax with some mindless DS fun until I'm motivated to plunge ahead again. :P

Without a doubt!! When I feel bad, I like to sit in a corner and play at the DS. Succes garantee! :PIt's fun to play together with the DS too. My bother and I took turns in Cooking Mamma.

I've never really thought about this, to be honest. Does playing my DS actually cheer me up? ... I would have to say yes, to a degree, because a few different things can cheer me up - DS just happens to be one of them. The best medicine for me when I'm feeling cruddy is distraction, and since I have a lot of great games on DS it tends to do a very good job at that. It's also handy because I can take it anywhere and put it into sleep mode at any time (unless I'm playing a GBA game, like I have been recently). I've gone outside to sit on the deck a few times to play DS/listen to music just so I could get away from the noise/tension inside the home. It's just nice to have that portability.

Yeah, my DS cheers me up, unless i ran out of games that I can actually continue, if I'm stuck on all games, then talking to my friends cheers me up.

Sometimes....especially when I'm doing well. It makes me frustrated when I'm sucking at games however. The best is that the DS helps with boredom, especially when I'm taking public transit, or I'm waiting for someone.
