I guess when I play with my ds I can forget about everything else...so I guess it kinda chears me up...><

i totally agree. it helps distract u from wats on ur mind. these electronic gaming companies n businesses rely on us n our need to escape reality. tat way, their games sell like hot dogs. no wonder evry1 likes RPG - u dun hav to b urself for an hr or 2.

Yup, whenever I'm feeling down my DS is there with a cup of hot cocoa (loaded with marshmallows), and a flute to play me a soothing lullaby. Boy do I love that little gadget.

I guess my DS soothes me when I'm feeling down or bored. I just listen to music or play my all time favorites Luminous Arc or Disgaea (love Alph and Lucia).

Not only does it make me feel better, but it's just a great way to avoid the real world in general. As is with most video games, I often find myself immersed within the game, blocking out real-world distractions. It's a great way to get away from it all.

It's like a double-edged sword to me. When I'm bored, I usually play it and get stuck into it pretty quick. Then I realise the time and notice the assignment or homework that bored me to death isn't done yet lol. But heck, I enjoy it when that happens.

yes, in a way. I will never be bored with my DS and Ipod. Even if there is a power cut and I cannot read, watch tv or go online, I can play any game I want and listen to any music.

To some extent yes, as I concentrate on the game, I forget about what is really getting me down, so yes it does cheer me up in a way.
