Yes my DS cheers me up. I usually play bomberman when I'm feeling down because it's fun to vs others.

I would say that it would get me out from a bad mood, but i won't say it helps me get of depression. I would always find myself playing visual novel games like vampire knight, tokimeki memorial or ouran to make myself lighten up, some of the VAs cheerful voice lightens my day. Haha, but i also play Mario Party DS when i am stressed, it won't fail to destress me.

Truly, it all depends on the game. If I'm depressed and I don't get a Gold Medal on a recipe in Cooking Mama, I'll get frustrated. However, it will bring some good times once I get my AceKard; I won't have to buy games again! :gay:

I can't say as I always get a pick-me-up from playing my DS, but I do enjoy it. I grab mine whenever I need an escape from the computer and I don't want to watch television, read, or draw.

Depends... If I play an easy game and I beat it easily it makes me satisfied and does cheer me up, but if there's a hard level or I can't figure out how to beat a level or how to play a game I get really stressed.

It definitely does wonders to my mood sometimes when I play quirky titles like Elite Beat Agents, Rocket Slime and a few others.

I've found that the DS can be very therapeutic, yes :( Video games in general that I enjoy playing and can get really wrapped up and engaged in, they help me to forget about whatever is going on that's bothering me, and it definitely helps me to feel better.

i definatly think that playing my Dsi cheers me up. I'm not sure but i think it is becuase you can get away from all the real world drama and escape into a world you can control, the World ofVideo Games.
