You people talk about colors and versions. Oh, come on. I'm talking about "Gotta Catch 'em All". Catch all Pokemon and fill it out your Pokedex full. Also create your best strategy team that you can beat or lose everyone.1) New version means new moves.2) New Pokemon version means catch 'em all and have new moves.3) Remake FR/GL version means new versions compare to R/S/E. Remake from Red/Green version. Also new moves.

Well, to me, it can either be different things.1- The choice of pokemon in each game2- The appeal of the game (Like the cover art)3- Depends on which game your friends have (so you can get the other for all the pokemon)Personally I always get both gamesIs it just because of which sounds cooler or something more in depth?

I got yellow because of the pikachu.I got Crystal because of version exclusives.I got Emerald because there is battle fontier.

A lot of people that are purchasing Diamond/Pearl went for Diamond, because Diaruga looks "COOLER" than Parukia. I chose Pearl, because Parukia looks awesome, and because, Dragon-Steel pokemon are... weak compared to Dragon-Water.now lets see... this is how i bought my games,Mineral Era.Crystal (my first Pokemon game.),Silver (friend gave it to me as gift), gold(bought it for collection purposes).Color EraYellow(I wanted to have a Pikachu follow me), Red(Missigno, I was Curious), Blue(Collection)Jewel EraSapphire(They didn't have Ruby), Ruby(I wanted Groudon), Emerald(Battle Frontier)Elemental EraFire Red(I'm a Fan of Fire Pokemon), Leaf Green(Collection)Next Gen Jewel era ( eehh.. yeah watever)Pearl (Parukia is better that Diaruga in my opinion)

I like Silver version too because it is the only game besides Diamond and pearl that have the time feature.

i go for the darker colors and it seems to work out nicely hence blue silver sapphire green and now pearl

i think its either between legendary pokemon and color... i picked ruby over saphire because i liked the legendary pokemon better but i picked blue over red in the past because i liked blue better

they do just bcoz in some pkmn version dey propose much cooler pkmn so its better like in ruby they proposed groundon and in emerald dey proposed rayquaza which is by far better n in emerald u have a wide variety of pkmn

Well I'm guessing in this case that Diamond is cooler sounding than Pearl...but with saphire v ruby I think people liked the legendary in that one more...even though kyogre just plain wins agains groudon I like groudon more..I don't know too much about the differences between diamond and pearl this timeI got pearl btw, because my friend is getting diamond, that's how I decided in r/s aswell, I got ruby because he got saph

Well when the first game came out before anyone knew anything about pokemon around here I chose Blue because I thought it might be more related to water. Yellow was the only viable choice in the next gen, and after that I chose gold because silver looked kind of grey. After that it was sapphire because of the water issue once again. I think it comes down to what box you like, what pokemon are in it, and just colour preference.

I bought both Diamond and Pearl and gave my niece her choice of which one she wanted(Diamond) and kept the other one for myself.

I think a couple reasons why people choose a certain version are because of the color and the pokemon they like more thats on the cover.

i agree leveling the lugia and gettin ghim sooner is better, plus he doesn't get aeroblast in gold, but then you have to sacrifice ho-oh's sacred fire which isn't all its hyped up to be, ho-oh just didn't get that much publicity i guess, lugia always gets the attention, its silver over gold for me
