eh, in the topic, i'd say because they are choosing their favorite color or a close resemblance to it. Perhaps they are choosing the one that has the better looking pokemon on the box. Or they could just be in ahurry and grab one not careing since they are pretty much the exact same. Or like 100% of these kids now a days, their mommy and daddy go to the store to buy the game and the adult doesn't know what the difference is, so they just say "Yeah gimme that one there" lol

it's mostly cause they either like the color of the game or title box, but it's mostly due to which legendary pokemon you can get in these games

When it comes to buying them or playing them, i go for which one has the better exclusives. Like, I like Leaf Green better than Fire Red cuz Leaf Green has Bellsprout instead of a crappy Oddish, etc, etc. Some unintelligent people may buy them cuz yeah they sound cool or its their favorite color.

The reason I choose one game over the other is because I prefer the legendary Pokemon.

Although these are the with the fist ones (red, blue, yellow). I'd choose yellow because it alows ou to get all three starting pokemon and it followed the show, I don't follow okemno anymore but I would choose the one tht followed the show the best.

Version exclusives and such are part of the reason but I think the main reason is just the sound of the name.

This can depend for several reasons:1. the buyer likes the colour better2. the buyer is influenced by others3. the buyer is influenced by the cololer name 4. the buyer can think that one is superior to others eg. now thers diamond n pearl, sum1 might say " diamonds are worth more!"5. if the buyer is smart first, s/he'd check the pokemon that're available in the game that s/he'd like

I just wait until the mixed game comes out like emerald for ruby and saphire because emerald had all the legendaries plut the battle frontier.

i think it might be the color or the pokemon on the cover that might appeal to them.

The Pokemon exclusive to the Game would make their choice. but some people get both for trading legendaries

I agree with the op, some colors are simply more alluring to that general market.

nowadays it is the legendary options but it's mostly the color (for example, many a male consumer will buy diamond, and it is stereotypically implied that female consumers will buy pearl)

maybe the color makes a difference, but it's prob. cuz of the pokemon on the game that usually convinces kids to buy the game
