The best FPS I eer played was Alien Vs. Predator II, but that wasn't on console so I have to say I realy enjoued FFVII Dirge of cerberus.

Goldeneye. The classic N64 game was incredible at the time, and the new Source version is unbelievable.Remote mines people! Remote mines!

Goldeneye. Its a classic, and even now, several years after its release, ppl can still get together and play it w/o being bored

Halo. First was cool becouse of weapons, grenades throwing range and no shake while shooting, second, becouse of better levels and AI.

perfect dark cuz its has lots of guns and that's what it is, FPS.i like metroid prime more as a game, but it's also based on exploration and adventure.

Golden Eye for me sure it doesnt have uber graphics but when that game out it was THE BOMB I played that game for countless hours with my friends

My friend loves Goldeneye, too <3I love HaloCE&2, but my choice is really biased, since I've only played Goldeneye and Halo from the poll, lol

I am a much bigger fan of timesplitters than I am of Halo. Halo has a great story and all but honestly, I have seen better. I reckon Bioshock is better Halo and I'm excited as anything for Bioshock 2's multiplayer mode, but overall, I have spent so many hours playing Timesplitters because its just a great game and I can't wait til they bring Timesplitters 4 to the PS3

Out of all of those on the list I gotta give it to Halo. Yeah it's overrated but its still fun as hell and while there may not be a lot of frills to it.But best shooter of all time for me has to go to CoD4: Modern Warfare. Game reignited my love for the FPS genre with the kickass single player *Freeway Chase is still one of my favorite moments* and the awesome multiplayer. Can't wait for MW 2.

Goldeneye most definitely. I've played many FPS and that game still is a blast to play.
