I use to get fake copies overseas, actually, when dial-up was still around. Now I usually buy them off Steam so I can play on servers.

I torrent most single player games, I just can't afford to lose money on something I might not enjoy. But for Multiplayer games I mostly use Steam, I really like having everything available when I need it, rather than having to find a CD/DVD I left around somewhere.

Lately, I've been getting most of my games from digital services (Steam, Impulse, GoG, etc.) expect for a few console games now and again. However I've been leaning more and more towards pc gaming as the years go by.

Torrents with no cd cracks for me. I'm too bloody poor to pay for games unless they come out with an MMO that needs to be installed via disc (like Guildwars)

I would rather buy the game if i like the sound of it than download it from a torrent. Just owning the game makes me feel a lil happy when i go back to the game in a few years time.

If the games exclusive to console and is good, then I'll buy it. If the game is on PC, most likely I'll download it unless the game has a good multiplayer community.

Usually I ask a few friends to keep an eye on certain console games and buy them for me, since they don't sell it here in my place (Almost non-existent actually, a joke). PC games I buy directly since they're more popular around here, so no lack of shops. Just damn far away...

Usually i go for free games. But if it a game i really want i will buy it in stores. I dont really torrent much unless i have the time since torrent takes a long time sometimes for big games.

either by paying for them if they are for this or last gen console, i still buy N64 games occasionally, (like once every 3 years)but if its an old console or a game made in the 90's for the pc I get roms or I download/torrent them.like the way i did for both hexen and heretic games and expansions.i can afford games at times, but its easier and alot of times iget less errors then when i get the games from steam, i actually got the ORIGINAL Half-life from steam and i LOVED it!

I usually buy mine from Ebay. I used to torrent/download them but I'm on dialup now and can't anymore because of that. Please. Have pity on my soul.

Judging a person does not define who they are.
It defines who you are.

Strictly money. I've never torrented a game.... except ROMs. If I like a game, I support it by wanting to and ending up buying it.
