3 simple words. Super. Mario. Brothers. It took me like 10 hours to beat, as I recall. Certainly not my best work, but it was the first game I'd ever played. Second game I beat was Ducktales on the NES shortly after SMB.

Same for me too, I was about 5 of 6. Super Mario Bros. was the best. I knew the infinite lives trick with the turtle on the stairs. That was fun. Those were the days.

my 1st videogame was mario bros (NES), but i never beat it!! so iguess it would be super mario 3 (when refering to that game, i can be called god :) ) and then teenage mutant ninja turtles (what a game... pity it isnt here in ROM,)for PC my first game (and i am not considering games pac-man and such) was Dune 2000, it opened my way to the strategy genre

First game I remember beating is Parappa the Rapper, I was like 9 or 10. I'm seriously thinking that Parappa led to my DDR obsession.

OOoohhh, that question takes me back. I think it was a pirated copy of Pac-Mania, on my old Atari ST. Not that it means that much; I began my gaming addiction back in the days before games had endings, but I still remember the first time I beat the game vividly. "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE A TRUE PACMANIAC!!!"

Yes yes yes. I am forgetting. It was most likely sonic 2. I used to know that game inside and out. That and sonic 3 I could beat withen a short time and I knew every cheat code how to get super sonic and everything.
