Compaq makes minimally decent computers, then charge you up the ass. Specs compared to the price of my computer are awesome. I'm getting a bit annoyed at how people keep thinking they are super gaming computers and post their specs.I payed about $320 dollars for my computer.Vista Home Premium 64-bit4GB DDR2 RAM @ about 800GHz500GBs HarddrivePentium Dual Core @ 2.50GHzDVD-RW+ DriveAlthough, the salesmen had removed the Floppy Drive which I reinstalled using the original components and he also removed the original Video Card which I repurchased for about 15.00 dollars.I suggest NOT purchasing online or retail-wise unless the price you find is extremely low. Try looking for used computers, out-of-box sales, and special offer. An example would be Circuit City's shutdown sale.I have a Compaq Presario... It runs Half Life 2, World of Warcraft, CSS, etc. all perfectly...
Also, that is also over-priced compared to the price of my computer. As I said, take my advice and find very specific offers. Do not purchase computers only because of specific parts they have. If you are wanting a indivisual piece in your computer purchase a computer with a decent motherboard and upgrade it using purchased parts. If you're a noobie at upgrading computers, especially laptops, they're god-awful at changing parts, you should take it to a local computer-fixer and ask him to install it for you.The best laptop for gaming in my opinion would have to be any of Dell's XPS laptops. The XPS M1330 has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 with 4gb of RAM and a 320gb hard drive. It comes with a NVIDIA Geoforce 8400M GS Graphics card. The XPS Studio 13 has the same stuff but the graphics card is a NVIDIA Geoforce MCP79 MX its roughly 1500$ and the other is a little over 1000$edit: my bad didn't realize it was a dead topic.
