I thought of this because there's a thread called PS2 dropping. Basically you can drop your PS2 all you want and it won't break :s Has anybody accidentally dropped their PS3 multiple times? If so, what happened.

I wouldn't try it, man. Even if it doesn't break, it will be damaged somehow.

i agree 100%. The PS3 is a expensive item, i wouldn't even dare of running the risk unless you're willing to buy another one if this one breaks.

well i guess i'd do it if the store i bought it from had a warranty, i'd try it and if it got messed up i'd return it...better yet i'd try it and even if it wasnt messed up i'd exchange it for another one! who knows what features could've been damaged

Are you sure about the PS2 droppage? They're pretty flimsy from what I remember. I wouldn't drop a PS3 though, not even attempt it. It costs way too much (on the bright side though if it did break you can pick up a new one at almost any gaming store in America) maybe Sony should consider dropping the PS3....The PS3 price I mean!

the PS2 stability wise is the weakest of all the console, kick it once and its useless, dont even think of droppping it. the cube however can survive being pulled behind a ute, or hit with a sledgehammer, and still play games fine.old video, but proves my point.and the cube behind a car:edit: oh and did u ever see the PS3 being smashed at launch? fell to pieces the second it hit the ground... however it was pretty resistant to sledgehammer hits. the Wii also lost its cube flap when it hit the ground but that flap is ment to come off, just saying before anyone trys to bash Wii for that happening. completely not recommended to drop ur PS3, its heavy.http://ifanboy.net/2...mashed-ps3.html

That is just dumb to drop a very expensive item and see if it breaks or not. That amount of money is too valuable to test to see if it can sustain a drop...No damaging the console like that, please XD

if i had a ps3, i would put it in a custom built place for it and put restraining straps on it so it wont budge, breaking it in anyway will cause me to kill myself and i would only touch it for putting in games, and even then i would make sure i would play that game for a long time without taking out the disc

I wouldn't dare. Dropping a pricey item just to see if it breaks or not isn't worth the risk. That's just plain dumb...

I've abused my PS2 and it has never failed me. I doubt the PS3 would be weaker
