I think as long as your PC can handle the game play, then any type should be better.....i think they all work fairly well. especially FPSs. :laugh:

The genre that is most suited to the PC and least to the console, and imo most entertaining genre on the PC, is the RTS. Real time strategy games on a console just don't work half as well, you have far less control when you want to jump around quickly, you can't select and deselect units as easily, micromanagement becomes exceptionally more complex than it should be... Anyways.For the PC, the RTS is just awesome. I mean, games like Warcraft 3, Starcraft, etc. have huge followings.FPS games fit better on the console because using a controller gets you more into the game than a keyboard and a mouse, and getting a controller for the PC gives you a disadvantage as those using mice and keyboards have more control over their gaming and can tighten it up. It isn't really as entertaining though because it's more... distant... than with a controller.TBS -- turn based strategy games, are typically better for handhelds such as the GBA, the DS, etc. because it fits better with the controls. On the PC, turn based strategy games just end up taking ages for anything to get done. The best turn based strategy games are those like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars where you have the models, a way of reinforcing (or not in F.E.) and some customization ability (C.O. / characters used). Fire Emblem definitely is the better method for a single player game, whereas advance wars trumps the others in terms of handheld multiplayer TBS mechanics.Action, adventure, RPG, all of these work better on either a console or a handheld than on the PC, you become more engrossed in a melee combat if it is with a small controller than if it is with many buttons all over the keyboard and the mouse.IMO the RTS is best suited to the PC, and the PC best suited to it.
