yup ..i remember it....i had it on gbc.....but the save file just disappear after i reach lvl 70 ++....so i juz gave up and stopped playing...but still ...it was nice...

Hmm...I thought it was Pokemon Diamond for the GBC? Anyways, regarding the game, it wasn't really what you can call good. I mean, the idea of calling a "monster" is interesting, but the fact that it kinda takes them a long time to learn a new move is irritating.

Just so everyone knows, Pokémon Jade and the fake Diamond for the GBC were hacks of Keitai Denjuu Telefang, a similar monster RPG developed by a company called Smilesoft in the year 2000. Like Pokémon, KDT was also split into two versions, one being Power, the other Speed. Since Pokémon was really popular beyond anyone's wildest dreams back then, some bootleggers decided to take advantage of the hype and turned the KDT games into "Pokémon" games, replacing the title screens and boxart with fake images and slapping the Pokémon logo on top, and even attempting to translate the entire games' text, with hilariously poor results. Heck, I remember this ROM. It made no sense to me whatsoever when i played it...I thought it was just another Gold/Silver/Red/Blue hack, but I was utterly confused by it...

As far as I'm concerned, Game Freak has never released anything by the name of Pokemon Jade. But I have a really fun time going on eBay and looking for stuff like this. I usually save the pictures people post on their listings and laugh about them later. The game carts usually have really cheesy designs and insteady of saying "Game Boy" at the top of the cart, it usually just says "Game". Ha! Sometimes they go as far as "GameUSA" !!! I dare you to go to eBay right now and check it out. You get to be a real pro looking for fakes and Pokemon is probably pirates' most favorite.

I had "Pokemon Diamond" I too thought it was a rare game.. found out it was pirated when the "sandslash" immitator kept evolving into the most random things... it ended up being some man in what looked like a lion suit with the "spines" as a cape... so wierd..It confused me. and the translation from whatever language it was in before to English.. it really sucked... i mean.. REALLY.. like they said the wierdest things, and it wasnt sensored, lol... It was fun for a time, but I wanted the ACTUAL pokemon ya know... not the same..

I downloaded the rom after I heard about it. I seem to remember it being a decent game after I got past the confusing translated opening. The whole cellphone thing I found rather funny though.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who played that. It really was a funny game, and yeah it was called "Pokemon Diamond" by the in-game start screen. I didn't know it was a fake Pokemon, but it was alright.

Pokemon Diamond/Jade were not fakes, they were completely different games, which were called as pokemon for popularity matters.... this played highly against them, because even being much better than pokemon (let's face it, evolution methods, gamestyle, it's way better) it was attacked as a fake. Another downside is that the translation was so bad that the storyline made no sense...
