i think the best part of DS is the touch screen, then there´s no much sense having a joystick

Closest thing to a DS analog stick that I've seen was something using a suction cup on the touchscreen. You could also come pretty close by using a flexible thumb stylus on the touch screen.

a joystick would be awesome yeah... but then again i'd think that games with a joystick would mean larger game files which lead to long loading time and more cash spent on mem cards lmao.

What about the new paddle for Arkanoid (a la pong) I have to say the thumb stylus is the thing that intrigues me the most if we are talking peripherals

i dont wish to have joystick for nds as it does not make any better for the gameplay and dont need it as it dont enhance the gameplay.

i think they should have a joystick, i'm playing Sisters mode in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and because they float/fly everywhere, moving them with the d-pad gets tedious and strenuous on my thumb and i think that a joystick would help moving a lot

The control pad is what all the gameboys had. Adding a joystick would just make it look like a PSP without all the functions and graphics.

I really and truely wish that it did.I enjoyed all the extra content that was in Super Mario 64 DS, but I couldn't stand trying to control with the stylus... and the D-pad just doesn't work for a true 3D game.
