A Joystick....?????? If the idea is something like the stick from the PSP, then it could be. Or something small but still functionally.

i don't think that would work... it would break quickly, and it would make the whole system kind of bulky. D:

If there is joystick on the NDS . LOL ! Imagine the size , and you won't be able to close it . which me it bigger and hard to carry around . unless its a portable joystick .

Not to mention how easy it is to break a joystick. It's fine on a controller, seeing as how a broken controller is fairly cheap to replace. However, when the controller is actually built into the system, it's best to err on the side of caution and use the nigh-unbreakable d-pad.

A joystick on a DS sounds like it would be hard to use.

Hm, the joystick does sound rather painfull, I wouldn't use it, I much rather the stylus. The PSP joystick was a nightmare on my hands, which is why I stay away from that and cling to my DS.

The Nintendo DS should not have the joystick at all. it would ruin everything. besides there would be no room for it on the ds. its best on a controller

same here, they have space for a joystick and it would make it a better choice then the PSP if it supported their games too

While the option is always nice (especially for certain fighting games), overall I think the touchpad is meant to replace the standard joystick. I mean, if the Wii can harbor an SSX game using the wii-mote, then there's a chance we could have games that seem to "require" using a joystick designed to play with the touchpad. Come on, a smooth touchpad-based Street Fighter clone could be awesome.M

I think a DS joystick would be great for the Super Mario 64 DS game when you're spinning Bowser around.

if it was small enough to close the ds then yes
