I used to think that but after playing a friends PSP i realized that making a joystick on a portable system is hard as it has to fit in your pocket.

Sometimes but most games that you would like it to have it just use the touch screen any way.

well you could always get creative and make a bigger d-pad adapter that sits right on top of the tiny d-pad. it doesnt have to be permanant. just something that u can take off.

I agree with him, the larger d-pad attachable would make a DS work for everyone.

Na-ah. Seems like a bad idea. How would you close your ds?.. Unless they invented some foldable joystick (??)

I think that it is a good idea. If it is realized, I think that more DS can be sold.

I dont think i would want a joystick. I rather have a joystick if playing on a big screen not small like the ds screen. A d pad might work.

*shrug*Maybe in one game, you have to use the stylus like a joystick, or to pull a virtual one...sounds like Warioware,though...

For the games that the DS currently has, a joystick is pretty unnecessary. But if they added one it would open up some doors for quite a few other games. Mainly better FPS type games.

No i do not wish my ds had a joystick =(Plus if you had a joystick you wouldn't be able to close the ds. that would make it pretty inconvenient.

It's right there's some games that just don't use at all the tactical part of the DS but it is why this console has been made for and add a joystick would let it looks as a PSP .
