eevee would be a good choice since it can evolve into alot of other elements

I think I'd go with Mareep. I'm a big fan of electric type pokemon, and mareep goes through two evolutions, just like the other starters, but is even easier to evolve to an Ampharos, because you only have to level it to 30.

I would actually choose.... Nidoran Male.Reason? Nidoking looks like a pimp. Fierce, buff, and cool horn too, though his techniques kind of suck...but yea Nidoran it is.

what about a ghost type?...i mean the fact that they aren't affected by regular attacks gives you an advantage over the other starting trianers...i also like gyarados but magikarp is so hard to train.. have to get to level 20+ for it to evolve..

I think that Lyarvitar is the best starter because if it evloves into Tyranitar it is able to learn really sick moves like rock slide, surf, thunderpunch, etc. and Tyranitar has the best type combinations
