I really like most books, but I gotta be honest and say that fantasy is probably my favorite. It's pretty much how I survived being a kid in public school.

Fiction fantasy but I didn't see fiction action. I rather enjoy Clive Cussler novels and the like :)

I don't read books for pleasure, I think that if I'm going to be reading a book I might as well be learning from it, so I like Non Fiction books.

I suppose I had to vote for "fiction: fantasy" as that's what I read the most and what I intend to primarily write in one day. But I read a lot of other genres as well.

I've chosen fictional crime/mystery, as I do seem to read a lot of novels which fall into this genre. However, I do read some classics and other non-fictional novels, such as biographies etc...

Fantasy more than anything. Romance, mystery and other small details are just that, small details that make the book more interesting for me.

Right now I prefer nonfiction. I can spend hours reading biographies and books on psychology. I especially love psychology books that are filled with a good number of example cases. My favorite autobiography is still Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave. But I also like fantasy. Though my favorite fantasy stories are the one's aimed at kids (grew up reading them): The Unicorn Chronicles series by Bruce Coville, The Last Unicorn (yeah, I love unicorns), Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic series, & The Hobbit. I don't know why, but when I pick out one of the fantasy novels aimed at adults, I always end up with one where the story is bogged down with romance. I want adventure and friendship when I read fantasy, not a love story.

I suppose the genre is fiction-diary. I love to delve into the mind of the main character and learn all their life and flaws. My favorite authors are Chuck Palaniuk, Christopher Moore, and Hunter S. Thompson.

Romance, but It can't be too chick flick. Or else I'm scared it'll have 10 year old kids screaming in the back of it..,. *Looks at twilight*

Mystery novels always keeps you guessing what's going to happen next and the logic is enough to baffle your mind till you can't take anymore. Of course it has to be a really well written novel by someone by knows how to write and maintain a stable plot. It also helps if the characters and methods use to solved these mysteries relies more on brains than coincedences.

In addition to all the biographies/autobiographies I read, I really dig historical fiction a lot. Can be pretty much any genre, too. I'm especially big on the colonial times, the Jazz Era, obviously the 60's and 70's (but there's not much historical fiction out about them yet), and Victorian times.
