If I was going to conserve energy I would play without sound.

I play without sound. Because both I and my surroundings feel that we want to breserve our brains from having to hear one of the most cruel inventions of mankind. GBA sound just feels like rape to my "sense of music". And if it conserves energy - another positive.

I almost never use music even with my rechargable batteries because it can be very distracting from teh actuall game. But i do like to listen to some game's music.

If I'm playing on the computer, I like to listen to my own music, so I play without. For handhelds, I like listening to music, but only in the shortrun. If I'm going to play for more than an hour, I turn the volume off. More battery power. Yay!

I put the sound up if I'm alone or with people who don't mind GBA sounds, but I turn it down if I'm in a noisy place, or if I'm with people who are annoyed by GBA sounds.
