I always have sound on, makes the experience all the better :). I dont really mind about battery power that much, I keep my DS on all day sometimes.

well me i do not turn the music on.. cause i prefer listening to other music than game music ^^ especially when my game comes with a battery ^^

I have a rechargeble battery machine. I don't have to worry about sounds.

If the game has good sound/music i play with it. Elseway, i turn it off.

yeah, it really depends on the game, if im playing mario kart, i like listening to some music instead.

in some games sounds are critical to gameplay. if that's not the case, i don't mind playing without souind

For handhelds, battery is the best enemy. To conserve, especially on long-run games do you turn on the volume or not?

Get rechargables: really helps, pre-charged rechargables you get

I play without sounds to save batteries or to not let anyone else know i am playing, but with console/PC (especially rpgs), the sounds add to the atmosphere and gameplay so i use sound in these cases. Almost comparable with watching a movie without audio or subtitles.

I normally turn it off. I just can't stand the same thing over and over again sixteen bajillion times, especially when it wasn't that good the first time.

Half of the game experience is in the music. Yeah for some GBA games and stuff like that it can get annoying but that's when you play your ipod!

Good question. If I have a headache - without sound , if not - with sound.And it also depends on my mood ,or game.

Well, I really have it on, but thats only when I'm playing a game that I can save. If for some game where you can save, I try and conserve energy

You wish, but if you press Mute on your remote and start Mega Man X8, you can able to play WIRELESS PLAY, sir! I mean wireless Games.

playing without sounds is fine for most games, cuz then you can listen to better music.the only exception i make is pokemon, because that stuff is just classic
