i never play with game music, if your playing an emulator, odds are you have music on your computer too, so why not listen to that? gameboy games dont have voiceacting so your not covering that up either!

I would usually just play with the games music... or if I don't like the music, turn on music of my own. I can't really play a game without some form of music or sound.

For handhelds, battery is the best enemy. To conserve, especially on long-run games do you turn on the volume or not?

I don't like music.

I cant stand any games without music or any sound. I must play with music and sound effect. I hate listening to other noise while i play. So, music is very important to every games. If playing games without music it is very meaningless. B)

I rarely turn on the music and sounds because the are often good. But if it has a good soundtrack i will turn it on with headphones.

I'm usually playing my GBA in the bathroom at work so I have the sound off. Super Mario Land tends to echo in there.

It really doesn't make much difference - the display is using so much of your power?quote name='riffedlyn' date='Apr 25 2007, 11:14 AM' post='2439746']For handhelds, battery is the best enemy. To conserve, especially on long-run games do you turn on the volume or not?[/quote]

i like to have the sound off, not to save batteries but to save myself from the crappy music games play. the only time i have sound on is when u need to beable to hear something thatll help u in the game, but usually games have font to help u.

no sound for me...not even on vba. i usually listen to music while playing anyway, so corny (though cute, too) sound effects and bg music would be turned off ^_^
