I think it is still great! I think it may be Nintendo's greatest system. And also don't forget Goldeneye, TWINE, Super Mario 64, Southpark, Ogre Battle 64, Star Fox 64, Orcarina of Time, or Kirby 64.

Yes, I think so. N64 is the best Console that I've ever played. And the game that I currently playing is Hercules - the legendary journey. But I got stuck at bandit camp at the beginning. I dont know how to go on XD

The Nintendo 64 is the greatest 64 bit console EVER. It was the best when it came out!!! Look Sony's console was something like a joke i think, the 3D Grphs were Horrible, they have a deadly flicker, but if u see N64, the polygons NEVER Flicker, well, only in some parts of Banjo Kazooie, and Diddy Kong Racing takes the 1st place on N64 flicker, but they're the only ones ^_^ .OH, SOMETHING THAT MADE ME MAD WAS THE EXPANSION PACK!!!! THAT WAS A JOKE!!!!! CONKER BFD NOT USE THIS %"#%$"#$%!!! AND WORKS PERFECTLY, FOR ME IT WAS A BIG LIE.AND THOSE SQUARE ENIX %&#$&% DON'T GET OUT ANY FINAL FANTASY, THEY GAVED THE FF V, VII N' VIII TO THAT %&$&%$ CONSOLE CALLED SONY PLAY STATION ONE ^_^ !!!!!!

The Nintendo 64 was extremely underrated. I think one of the most overlooked features was the multiplayer aspect. Its libarary of games had great party games and with four controller ports you did'nt have to but an overpriced multi-tap like the PS1.

Not to sound like the devil's advocate, but I was a PS1er at the time. I mean, I only found a few games of the 64 great, like Mario Kart 64.

I really enjoyed playing the N64 when I was younger. Mario Kart 64, was great when you had friends over. Same with Goldeneye, which was the first FPS I ever played, and I have loved the Genre ever since. The N64 was a revolution. I mean, going from 2D to 3D.. It was great! From playing a side-scrolling Mario game, to playing in a 3D world. To me it was really amazing, lol.

Yup, I understand what you say. In my case, I was a Nintendo fan since the times of NES and SNES, and it was a big disappointment when the N64 was released, lacking of good titles and I remember that at least in my country this console and the cartridges were a bit expensive, and that kind of things contributed to its low popularity.Altough I'm not exactly a fan of Sony, since I used to have a X-Box, but I also think that the PSX was better than the N64.

The N64 WAS the greatest gaming console ever created...EVER.It housed some of the greatest games ever, and introduced many revolutionary ideas (Goldeneye anyone?). I mean, it was amazing for it's time...and even today, it's games are genuinely fun.I can't exactly say the same about the cube though...

I suppose it would have been the Nintendo Wii, not N64. The graphics aren't good in some games and some of them caused me to be dizzy.

I regretted buying an N64. The library was small and release dates took forever. I should have got a playstation. Oh well can't do much about it now.

It was very good. While Sony was dabbling with CD technology, and staying in the safe realm of 2D platforming, Nintendo plowed ahead, using the already-established if more costly cartridge to instantly control the polygonal market for years.Using Mario 64, they gave consoles a workable 3D camera. It gave us Zelda 64, with Hyrule Field being the single biggest 3D area in the entire 64 bit era. It pioneered the Rumble Pack and the analog stick, both considered gimmicky for their time, but now gamers can't live without them.Too bad Sony eventually passed them once it got 3rd party support, the DualShock 2, and harnessed the CD format.Still, the N64 was, in my opinion, the most revolutionary console in history. Now let's see if Nintendo can keep it up with the Wii...

For being the first system to introduce Super Smash Bros. and the Mario Party series, N64 achieved fame and glory. Even today, I hold N64 above PS2 just because of that. Pokemon Stadium 2 and Zelda-Ocarina of Time were also must-haves. N64 was very "special" for its time.
