I download my roms from an awesome website, have you ever heard of it? It's called DGEMU.I bought a R4 then I downloaded all my games that I wanted, just for $80, and I don't need to buy any more games EVER in my life for the DS.I mean, why buy games when you can just download them when they cost like $50?

I've only just now realized how expensive they actually are. Really about $50 here, tax already included... Now in summer 2008, there is supposed to be a huge amount of awesome games i want... So i guess i might as well download them, but thinking about the new internet download thingy going on in Canada, i might reconsider. (there is some sort of new law or something about capping on downloads.)

I like to download roms to test games out that I may potentially want to buy (saves me the trouble of reselling the duds at a gamestop or something) and I usually purchase the hard copy later on if I really like it so that I can have it with me on the go on break at work or between classes. :3

R4, M3, EZ, etc., these cards are DS slot1 boot up cards, they are all legal devices for your DS, it's how you make it work for you that may be illegal. With a TF card loaded with just the boot OS, your DS will boot up without any games. You then put games in the card either thru' USB or via a TF, your DS will now have the games that you've loaded, one card is all you need for all the games that you've loaded, instead of carrying all the cartridges for all the games you own. Now, for the games you load in your card, you can download them free, or you can purchase them and download online, which in these days, all games come not just in the cartridge form.If you download them free, that's what you want to do - robbery is illegal, but people are doing it, if you'r caught, it's robbery, if not, nothing had happened. Or you can always purchase the ROM you want to buy, online, and load 'em in the card that'll save you the trouble of carrying all the cards when you're away from your home. Which ever way, R4, M3, etc. still serve a good purpose of convenience.I don't own a DS, but I know how it works with a CD full of NDS games from my friend and asked me to setup the R4 - it works out pretty cool, good design, good concept, good innovation. It's a good tool, perfectly legal, use it well and within the legality, you're safe without the fear of breaking the law or your preach. People invent new technologies to inprove life, must well make good use of it, otherwise, what's the point, we must well go back to stone age and play stones, right? Have fun!

Im sure everyone who goes to this forum downloads games. I myself download due to the short lenth of games these days,I find that its not worth paying all that money for a game you could beat in a week or less.Plus why pay when you can get it for free only bad part is that some roms dont work so well but most work fine.
