I download tons and tons of roms. If I really like it after playing it for a couple of days, I just go buy it so I can help support the game creators. I love having the booklet and the packaging and the smell of a fresh cart, oh my!

I download them and test them on a emulator before purchasing one cartridge . Unfortunately we have no where near here with an Official Nintendo Download Station. We own a total of 4 NDS in my family. I have purchased 3 of the DSTT Multimedia Cards, I purchase the game, then look for the rom to download as I do not currently have the required software/hardware to dump my own ROM, then load it to the 3 SD cards. It would be quite expensive for me to buy 4 of each game. So at least i can say I have contributed my part to the programmers. I want to invest in the hardware to dump my own roms, just so I can say that i got it and can do it.

It depends what games the kids (or you) use. Problem is: If you buy one and it is crap, than you lost to much money. And the most games are crap, as I have seen till now.So better download. And if theres a game which is playable even after a year (and you can see it already after 10 minutes playing) you should buy it.We have several games already a few years, and the kids are still playing like the first day. Good that we've bought themGreezRollo

About half and half for me. I usually download games I want to test or try out if it's the type I'm not sure I'll enjoy, and if it turns out to be a great game I'll support the company and buy it. Games that I know I'll love I just go ahead and buy them.

I do use roms, but there are just certain games I like better on their own separate chip. I don't know why, but I just do.

I've always been using an M3 Ds Simply and R4 chips ever since after I bought my first three games. (Mario64, Diamond, Yoshi's Island) It is really great as you can save moneh with the roms however alot of buyers of original games are totally against this. :(

Alot of them are mainly because if you dl it and you dont own the game it is indeed illegal but on the other hand people seem to download hundreds and thousands of songs and nobody says boo to them unless they are against any type of illegal downloading so this is what I do....-I buy the game at the store-Download the rom and play it but I do not open the box for the original game-When I beat the game I erase it off of my memory card-I sell the original that is still in its original packaging to those anti-rom downloading people for a small - moderate profit...Lol jk but that would be pretty cool though I mainly dl my games :(

I feel a little guilty, but there isn't anywhere around here to buy games from. Plus, it's so easy to download them instead . Maybe later, when I have more money and easier access to games, I will buy a few that I really like, to support the game companies and developers. Maybe then they will make better games and less crap.

Always download, so when you finish the a game in a series (for example Phoenix Wright), you can get the next one almost immediately.

I buy it.I admit I download it. but I think it's to try it.there has been not a single successful way to try games before you buy it!it's an adventure to buy new games, I have not heard before.I think too much like "what if I don't like the game? what if the game bore me? what if it's not as funny just because its "No.1 selling game" or something like that?"
