I usually buy my games first. My fire-red broke and my emerald has no more internal battery and also broke, so I came to Dgemu and downloaded the roms.

i usually download them onto the r4. its easier, quicker, and costs like, 25 cents for the internet only. its much better too.

After I bought my DSi, I also bought the R4i for it. Both at the same day. So, for practicality reasons, I download games. In fact, I never bought even a single game. :D

Buying games has really drained my wallet, since now my parents say I have to pay for them myself. But I'm not savy enough to understand how the chip and downloading thing works, so I guess it's back to saving up money for games.

I buy and download (both of the same game i legally own every game i downloaded)=D and i screw around with the ones on the computer and play the ones for the actual console and im too lazy to get a chip.

I prefer to buy. I don't really know how to use the chips so i don't want to get one. I only like to download the old school games that i can't buy anymore.

It all depends... cuz at some places you cant really download the old school games :D

i buy my games...lately i've been downloading some but only because i want to try them out or because i can't find them available for sale. like i'm playing at the legend of zelda and the minish cap, and i absolutely love it. as soon as i'll find it for sale i'll definetively buy it...even though the chip does look appealing to me since i'm not filthy rich i don't think i'll buy it, also cause i tend to get addicted to the games i play and need concentration for my university. so less games i have the better it is

I like to buy mine. Helps the gaming industry to keep moving on and allows me to feel like I actually "own" the game than, say, feel like I've just stole it from my nearest gamestop. Plus I like having physical copies, anyway. Watching my collection grow in front of me makes me feel like I've accomplished something. Not something I'd feel the same way about if I just downloaded everything onto an R4.

I use to buy games for like $30-40, but now that I got an R4 it saves me money and time. Personally I think buying games are more fun.

I download the games to try, and if I really like them, I'll go buy them, I think it's fair that way.

I bought the 4 initial games...after that I have just been downloading them. MUCH more convenient. I mean no more cartidges to carry around and all the games are just on your SD...so simple!

I used to buy mine: around 30 games I own currently. Now, I'm downloading them as I had a motherlode of DPs from a long time ago. Besides that, a friend of mine at a local arcade recommended me the AceKard 2.1. Bought it and anxiously waiting for it to arrive. This will be the most thrilling experience that I'll ever have since the purchase of an iPod touch! I bought a 4GB microSD card originally for a camcorder, but then I used it in my mobile phone. With this purchase, time to replace the 4GB with a 1GB and use the 4GB for the AceKard!I'm a first-timer in terms of Flash carts, so yeah, I'm psyched.

I agree with you, it fairer that way. I prefer to try the games before i actually buy them from preventing myself from buying game i really dislike, unless it comes to situations whereas we need a certain 'controller' such as guitar hero or personal trainer then i would most likely get them if the titles and the review attracts me. Frankly speaking, i do download more than i buy though, it's hard to buy games here in my country, the titles are extremely limited. XD

I used to buy games when I first got my DS, but now I download all my games. It saves me the hassle of having to go to the store every time I want a game :P
