Back when I barely made enough money to pay bills and then when I lost my job at the time I only downloaded my DS games. Now that I'm doing much better I purchase all of my games legit.
death doesn't just border on insanity, it
wallows in it.

I used to only buy games. But since I've gotten a chip/R4 I rarely buy now. I've bought so many bad games. I think the last game I bought was Ni no Kuni. Imported and everything. I can't read it or play it. So now I just appreciate it.

Well I download games when I can't find them on gamestop because I kind of don't like online buying and they seem to put almost no games for the DS console.

I agree that buying an r4 or similar technology is cheaper, but I like to "try before I buy" if that makes sense. I download games to demo them, and if I like them enough I usually buy the actual cartridge.
I've had bad experiences with reading reviews, looking at screenshots, then buying the game, but actually hating the gameplay/controls.

Mostly downloaded since I use a flashcart like most people, but thanks to the Awakening and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, I've had to buy the actual game.

Well..it depends on the game, I will buy them if I find the game to be worth the money.
I usually download first, buy later if it was fun. Games like Pokémon Heart Gold I buy for the official play.
I also use the rom version to cheat with, much easier to do on the emulator.

I generally buy them. I have a few games, but some of them are rather, how you say, faddy? I have Brain Age, but most of the other games I have are actually games. For instance, I have both the Zeldas off of that system and I have Dragon Quest IX which is a fantastically awesome game.

I mostly download all my DS games. Gonna be buying the 3DS ones though since there's no way a comp screen can duplicate the lentricular lens 3D effect.
