I download to check them out - once I like it enough to play more than 2 hours, then I go buy.

This helps me to remove vast majority of shitty games out there

I'd like to buy them, but I certainly have more important things to spend my money on, so yeah, here I am, downloading them, just like everybody else.

I always buy them, unless they aren't coming out in my region (which happens too often in my opinion).

I haven't bought a game since I got my R4 back in high school but I will start buying games as soon as I can save up enough to get a 3ds...at least until we can get some sort of 3ds files here :)

I used to buy all my games, but I really don't know where to put all of them, since it gets hard to manage. I have a few downloaded games, and I find that it is way more convenient.

I used to primarily buy them; there's just something I like about poking through the selection at a brick-and-mortar store. But games I'm interested in are older and getting harder to find irl, so I download more often now.

I used to download (back in the good old days when Nintendo didn't update their OS every week), but it's become rather impractical now that constant firmware updates are necessary to use a chip.

I prefer to download games so I don't have to switch cartridges, but sometimes I prefer to own certain ones, especially if I know friends who would probably play them too.

I prefer to buy but I sold my DS a few years ago. So, last fall when I bought a Vita and wanted to buy Virtue's Last Reward, I had to emulate 999 first. I'll be getting a 3DS in anticipation of Persona Q, though. So it won't be a problem anymore. Gonna be fun catching up on all the DS games I missed the last time around!

Up until I always bought my DS but after buying a DSI in October and not having any funds due to certain issues thinking of using some funds from Dec or when Taxes come to buy a flashcard.

Thing is, I thought the higher end cards could update the firmware?

Please don't shoot me, just started researching the cards yesterday so any help would be hot.

Also have to find out what EMUs the cards have...read GBA, SNES, DS and NES so far...asking as I want to collect the roms I want just in case...

But will still buy games if I really like them, same as I still want a copy of Circle of the Moon and others for GBA but can run the rom on my PC whenever I want...same goes for Zelda etc etc...besides, this new crazy retro gaming craze has driven the prices up so my old trick of waiting for next gen to become old gen is starting to fail me in my old age...

I do both mainly. I download to try the game to see if it is one I eould enjoy, if I enjoy I will buy, if I don't then I delete and move on. Part of why I don't like the idea of the sky3ds card.
