Please, if they ever make another pokemon game, I'm never picking it up.I still remember the good old days with the 150 pokemon. But I guess retaining all the old continents and pokemon would be fun.

Should future pokemon games retain old continents and ALL the pokemon?(Think Gold, Silver and Crystal, where they had kanto in addition to Johto)LD

Yes 100% yes. Those where the best Pokemon games around beside Ruby and Sphare. I agree they need to make the ultimate Pokemon game and add all the character in to it.

There should at least be an option to connect to old games and import any of the pokemon, whether they are in the current game or not.

As long as GameFreaks and Nintendo have the Pokémon machine rolling, I don't think they will put all continents in a single game. Maybe we'll see a HUGE game one day where everything from all the previous games will be implemented; that will probably be when people start losing interest in the franchise or another company makes a game with that concept. If they want to include all continents, they'll have to re-balance the whole game or even find another combat system, which might not please everyone. What I found was lacking in Pokémon games is freedom. Sure, it's not GTA but except the Starter's choice and choosing 1 of the 2 fossils, it's pretty linear. What I would like to see is a HUGE Pokémon game much like Fable in some points (but that's ground for another discussion). Y'know, I always wanted to join Team Rocket... :) Very interesting topic, by the way.

in my opinion, that would be the ULTIMATE pokemon game. but since that probably wouldn't make gamefreak/nintendo's wallet as fat as they'd like it to be, i doubt that would happen.---if they'd just let fans make games for fans, or even just make games for fans, rather than for profit, we'd have more good games =(couldn't be bothered posting, sorry ;o

Nintendo should make a game where they have every pokemon IN the game, instead of having to import some pokemon because they aren't featured in that version.

i say definately. htey also shouldnt have gone and made the lamest pokemon ever with the daimond/pearl thing. i say it should be more like silver verson, however there is one thing: they need to make the other starter pokemon catchable. it would make it more fun to competely fill the pokedex.

Of course they should. Maybe not bring back ALL the pokemon but the continents should come back.

Yeah they should just make a new one for the Wii and load in all the continents. Then it would be a great game.

I would really love to play a 3d pokemon game, but if they make new pokemon games they should retain the games roots by including the older pokemon.

I thought it would be cool if certain continents corresponded to real continents and that people in japan or so would be something like kanto, so you would have to trade with people all over the globe to collect all the pokemon from different regions

it would be epic if all pokemon and continents were in every new game. but realistically it would make the game insufferably long to beat and it would be hard for developers to fit that much into the games.

i really liked how crystal had both johto and kanto, so i would probably agree with all of the continents, but not all of the pokemon cause i just got confused when they introduced the new ones in diamond and pearl

Well, i think that all the old maps and locations should be brought back to the newer games because if there is only one location then you can beat it in less then a week then the game just gets boring. and for the new pokemons i say yes to that as well because my faorite poemon is charizard and most of the new games dont have him in it anymore so i think they should add all the pokemon and all the locations inculding the orange island and the locations from the movies like mewtwos island in mewtwo returns

I think they should definiatly keep all the old pokemon, but just parts of the old continents.

great idea, too bad there isn't something that is less linear... less of a story line, like i want to just 'explore' the world and catch pokemon, or better yet, take up different roles in the pokemon world

Personally, I'd like it if they did something like that in an MMO format. Just explore the whole Pokemon world, be able to catch all the different Pokemon there are, and battle and trade with other trainers across the globe. Diamond and Pearl was a nice step in that direction, but obviously, I'm thinking of something a bit more involved here.

I really love that they've added new pokemon with every version along with keeping the old ones. I also think visiting old regions again is a good idea. I really loved Gold and Silver for many reasons. First off it had an excellent map and you could visit Kanto after you'd finished the original league. I loved FireRed and how it completely redid Red and Blue. I'm really hoping they'll make an updated version of Gold and Silver it was excellent. I really miss the G/S map and basic story to it.

an mmo would deffinitely be rate epic. I've been wanting one for a while now. I have a feeling things are leading up to it eventually.
