To me sometimes I prefer real time but then other times I prefer turn based.

yea i like real time. i means that u have to keep aware of what is going on, like in FF9

I think a turn based rpg is the best so far and the one that passed the test of time. I don't think there's any real good real time rpg in PS tho. make note that almost all FF games are turn based and all of FF games in PS are turn based. ATB doesn't count as real time. A real time rpg is where you can move and respond to your surroundings at any given time. e.g. Diablo. Some RPG gives that illusion such as FF's ATB and most notably Grandia series, but they are still turn based. That's what I think at least. feel free to correct me tho.

I perfer turn based battles, but I love the platform RPG castlevania games are sweet.

I did prefer turn based battles on the PSX, but something that bothered me was that I could never find a game that had a similar battle system to Chrono Trigger on the SNES, where the characters just whip out their weapons and away you go, without having to warp through a strange screen transition to the actual battle mode.

I prefer turn based as its easier than moving around and attacking at the same time...some of my favourites are lufia 2 and dragon quest 6..

if i'm just leveling up my characters i prefer real time and turn based when i'm fighting a boss or some kind. XD
