And even better, for the Wii too!

Guitar Hero 3 this FallRedOctane FAQ may have spilled the beans.by Hilary Goldstein April 9, 2007 - Guitar Hero 3 is coming to PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii this fall. That according to Guitar Hero co-publisher RedOctane's site. In its FAQ section, RedOctane answers a common question: "When is Guitar Hero 2 (II) Coming? Will there be GH 2 for Wii, PS3, XBox, Xbox 360, etc?" The answer goes above and beyond the call of duty, announcing that Guitar Hero 3 is coming later this year for all major consoles. The official answer reads:"Guitar Hero 2 for Playstation 2 launched 11/7/2006, Xbox 360 launched 4/3/2007 and both items are shipping now. Please check www.guitarherogame.com and www.redoctane.com for the most rrent information.Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are currently scheduled for release in the United States in Fall of 2007."It should be noted that the FAQ answer, which numerous message board readers began linking to this evening, is not an official statement or announcement by co-publisher Activision or developer Neversoft. Activision and RedOctane could not be reached for comment at time of publish.

Not official though, but gotta be positive ya know ^^Font: http://wii.ign.com/a...9/779325p1.html

I really would like to know what the controls will be for the wii version -i don't think using the wiimote would work, you'll probably have to buy a guitar attachment or something

I haven't played much guitar hero, but my understanding is you have the five fret buttons a strum bar, and a whammy bar. So if they wanted to reduce the cost ($90 currently for the 360 version), they could simply include a nunchuck style adapter with the 5 fret buttons and use the motion sensing on the wiimote to function as the strum and whammy bars. Or they might just include a guitar like every other release. That would still be better than the PS2 or 360 versions since it would be wireless thanks to the wiimote.

i read somewhere that the guitar will be included, this question from IGN posted above isn't the first we have heard from this.i was a little dissappointed, the Wiimote/Nunchuck would work great as aAiir guitar, would drop the price somewhat too. but oh well. im still getting it

I haven't played much GH but it seems like a pretty fun game and with the Wii I bet they will come up with an awesome way to add the motion sensor.

you'll still probably have to buy the guitar controller package, since without the strumming bar GH would lose a huge gameplay mechanic

Awesome. I'd prefer if they had the guitar, even though it makes the game cost more.

i have played GH for PS2 and loved it...if it comes out for wii you better have to buy a guitar without because just a wiimote would be kinda stupid...and of course the wii version has to have something better than the other versions that is motion sensed :P

hopefully you can just plug the Wiimote into the guitar, instead of having to deal with wires not only in the PS2 version, but 360 aswell

i hope there is a guitar attachment included with the game, it should be a wireless controller that connects to the wii like any other wiimote

I love Guitar Hero! I'm so gonna get this. The guitar could probably attach to the Wii-mote, instead of the nunchuck thing.

That's going to be brilliant, I can tell already. The original on PS2 was an instant-classic and I'm sure the Wii version will be amazing.I didn't really see why XBOX360 needed a Guitar Hero though, it doesn't go with the console at all.

I imagine that the controller will be the same as PS2 or 360 with maybe a slight variation on style. Why change a good thing. I have both Guitar Hero I and II for PS2 and the controllers couldn't be any better. Well maybe a variation in what style the guitars are a little choice would be nice on that when purchasing the game. But, that has nothing to do with gameplay.

I really hope its just a wireless guitar, or a guitar that plugs into the GCN controller slots. I don't want any of the fancy motion sensing stuff for this game.

Nah. I am almost positive that they will just make a wireless guitar and not some funky wiimote strumming.
