PS2 is just plain better. There's a wider selection of games tahn Gamecube. The only thing Gamecube has is the same thing they've always had for years upon years:MarioZeldaPokemonAnd a couple more, but that's basically it.

hmmm... ah... well... I have to say that, sorry guys I love the Gamecube and all, but the PS2 owns it. The PS2 has a wider variety of games, a larger selection of games(basically the same as the first reason), it has better graphics, it can play DVDs, its has a better CPU, and a lot more of them were sold then the Gamecube. Though the Gamecube does beat it in one aspect. It has four controller ports originally available, while the PS2 has only two, to make it have four you have to buy and accessory which just wastes more of the money that you could spend on games.

Definitly the PS2, hands down. I mean, technically, the Gamecube was a more powerful system in certain aspects, but there weren't alot of truly great games for the GameCube besides SSBM, Metroid, and Tales of Symphonia. Besides, the GameCube really only had an appeal for younger kids, wheras the PS2 was directed at an older demographic, the GameCube is great as a "starter" console for the younger gaming generation, but I really didn't have much use for the system when I owned one.

Technically, the GC is better than the PS2.For the budget gamer, the GC is better than the PS2.For the hardcore gamer, the PS2 is better than the GC.Simple as that.

I think that the PS2 has better graphics but the Came Cube has much better games and i think is much better than the PS2

In terms of the titles, GCN owns PS2, PS@ had some good games though. I love the graphicson the PS2, but I suppose nintendo just has the game appeal; I've been playing their games since I was small.

Where do you guys get your info from? The Gamecube had BETTER graphics than the PS2 did. ITS A FACT!!! Of course the PS2 had more games, but the GCN had quality over quanity. RE:4 GOTY, Metriod Prime GOTY, Zelda:TP GOTY, Zelda Wind Waker, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, Metroid Prime 2. All those games were triple A titles. I love the PS2 and all. But if you base which is better by sales its a no brianer....Based off games and what these games brought to the industry, the Gamecube wins. I dare you to give me a list of triple A games for the PS2 that got GOTY and didn't "copy" an idea that was already put into play by Nintendo.
