Probably Final Fantasy X, where Tidus has to go and disappear. Many tears were shed at that scene. Other than that I can't think of any times where I felt like that toward a game.

I have found Final Fantasy games to be very compelling many times. For example deaths of different characters, Cecil becoming a Dragoon, even the corny opera scene from FF6.

Both, Final Fantasy VI and VII can be very tearful, as well as Chrono Trigger. I'd say Final fantasy X as well, it's just that I find it corny and trite, but that's my opinion.
