My ps2 is the first dvd player I ever had and it is the main one I use. Movie playback is a useful thing to have in a console.

It was my only DVD player until I got my 360 a few months back. I love my PS2 to death, but the wireless 360 controller erradicate the only problem I had with the DVD function.

I used to watch movies on my PS2, but then I got an actual DVD player and I didn't have to wait a half hour to fast forward anymore.

I used to watch them on my PS2 when i first got it.. But truthfully from what I've heard from a lot of people that they don't just because they can't.. Their PS2s simply won't play DVD.. When it first came out it was a bother.. after they got it down pat it worked fine for people who didn't have a DVD player but wasn't necessarily if you did.. I mean it really comes down to if you have to or not.. lol

I don't watch movies on the ps2, because I have a DVD player and if I don't feel like using it, I'll watch it on my computer.
