Yes, I like very long games. But only if the plot is good and the story progressess as the game goes. Otherwise...no. Not really.

I don't even finish most games I play, so it doesn't matter if they're long or short, what matters is if they're good or bad. If they're good though, they'd better be long.

generally i believe that the longer the game the more chance of developing the story fully but you could always go overboard so it depends

Completely depends on what kind of game it is.There are the never ending games (such as Nintendogs, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing:WW) I like those because you can just pick it up and put it down on a whim, really. When it comes to RPG's like Final Fantasy - if they keep me interested the entire time, I don't mind spending 100+ hours with it. Same with a Mario Bros. game, getting it complete. Then it's individual what a long game is, but if it's boring I simply just put it away. Wouldn't be fun, and not worth the money, if the game was short.

Yes, of course I like long run games, if possible for the game with more than 100+ hours (for the one I like). Most RPG, tactical and strategy are long run games, therefore these genres are always my favorites.

i think final fantasy takes a bit TOO long for handheld systemspersonally, i prefer mini-game type games like bomberman land touch and point blanksince i usually only play my DS when i go on trips with my friends and we can all link up and play short yet fun gamesthe only longer game i'd prefer is phoenix wright, and trace memory.. iunno, maybe i'm just more into mystery/suspense games

I'd have to agree with everyone because if it's a long but interesting game (such as Golden Sun on the Gameboy Adv.) I wouldn't mind. If it's long and boring as sweet hell (FFXII and Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga) I will be bored of it and never play it again. There is a balance in this. And yes you heard me right about my examples :biggrin2:

If there's no plot and the game play is repetitive, long games get boring fast. But if there is a really good plot, I'm happy that it's long. Lets the plot develop better and more.

I like longer games. Generally, they have a better storyline...and everything fits together better. Some games that are short also good, but I like longer ones more. I just don't like REALLY long games that take forever to beat. Games like Fire Emblem are probably perfect for me. Golden Sun is also pretty cool even though it's a bit too long for my taste.

Yeah, long games are always much better than others. Like the tony hawk like games where you are in a realistic sport but do really stupid outrageous stuff, I just got done playing the newest Zelda and i recommend it to any Zelda fans and i am going to replay the others again
